Using MotionEdge Between Lessons

A good teacher still out-coaches an app during the lesson. MotionEdge is for the practice between those hours. It is not a replacement for a great teacher.

What do I bring back from a lesson?

Leave with one change to work on. Film it, then look at the next session the same way. The coach remembers the history of the swings you have reviewed, so a later question can pick up that same point. See AI Coach.

How does my teacher see the swings?

Share a collection. Your teacher sees the swings you add to it, on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. MotionEdge Pro is required to share a collection and to join one. The invite goes out from the share sheet, usually as a text. The steps are in Collections.

What will it not do?

It will not take the place of the lesson. It will not treat a swing you have not reviewed as progress. Film the swing, look at it, and take that to the next lesson. How to film a swing is the short setup if the picture is hard to read.

How to Film a Swing MotionEdge Can Read

Light, a still camera, and frame rate decide whether MotionEdge can read the swing. Start at 60 fps. In a simulator bay, use 60 fps and turn Fast-Shutter off.
