Does MotionEdge Tell Me What to Fix in My Golf Swing?
Yes. A skeleton on a video shows you where your body was. It does not tell you whether that was a problem. MotionEdge grades the swing and gives you a verdict, then the AI Coach turns that verdict into one thing to work on.
What the free checks tell you
Open a swing in Swing Review and the checks run on your own frames, on your device:
- Posture Check reads spine tilt and hip depth through the swing, so you can see whether you held your posture or stood up.
- Hand Path gives a green, yellow or red grade on your downswing hand path from down-the-line. See Hand Path Grading.
- Shaft Check shows the club on your frames, so you can see the shaft at the key positions.
These checks are free. They tell you what happened and whether it is in range.
What the AI Coach adds (Pro)
The AI Coach gives the full analysis: the Rules with their numbers, your key focus, and Pro norms for comparison. Then it gives its recommendations and you can ask a follow-up. It works from the measurements on your frames, not from a guess at a few stills.
The coach remembers the history of the swings you have reviewed, so a later question can start from that work. If you set a Training Profile ("shallow the transition", for example), the grading and the coach focus on that goal. See Training Profiles and AI Coach.
What it cannot tell you
- A camera angle can hide a fault. A good coach, human or AI, tells you when a view cannot show something. Film face-on or down-the-line as described in How to Film a Swing.
- Video does not measure pressure or ground forces.
- MotionEdge is help between lessons, not a replacement for your teacher.
